Maybe you are confused and think it impossible now. But we will talk about how to find the cheap frame.

First, we can try to find manufacturers of the cheap frame directly. You know this is the basic way to cut some profits and cost off, just including their manufacturing benefits. And in this way, you don’t need to pay the retailers’ profits and all kinds of cost. Meanwhile, cheap frames are under the same quality control with others sold in retail divisions. And how can we find manufacturers for the cheap frame directly? You may visit some shopping sites like E-bay. There is a lot of information about manufacturers’ outlets of cheap frames. Then talk with them according to their contact information about the price to get these cheap frames.

Second, you can also find cheap frames from some online stores. As the online shopping is more and more popular, online stores are springing up like a mushroom. An overview of children’s vision care

Posted by sean - October 26th, 2009

Vision plays an important role in children’s daily lives and study. With a good vision, children can perform much better. Generally, newborns can see objects only up close. When they are six months old, their visual acuity will be much sharper and they can have more accurate color vision.

Since children’s vision system is developing as they grow, early detection of some vision problems is very essential. As a caring parent, you may have worries such as when your kid should receive his first eye exam and what tests a comprehensive eye exam should include. Generally, your kid should have an eye exam at 6 months old. Vision screening may miss some vision problems.

When you choose eyeglasses or contact lenses for your kid, you’d better to consult the eye doctor. For the protection against harmful UV rays, sunglasses or some eyeglasses with UV protection may be recommended. When your kid uses computer, there are also some suggestions for eye care. Generally, your kid should get enough rest after staying 20-30 minutes in front of the computer.

If your child has a pet, you should take special precautions to eye problems. Dog’s and cat’s dander can cause eye allergies. Other pets such as reptiles and spiders can also cause some eye problems such as inflammation. So you need to pay more attention to potential consequences of your kid’s pet.

An Extraordinary Experience in China

Posted by sean - October 25th, 2009

I am an American and my name is Tom Lee, a sixteen year old boy. Last week I, together with my parents and my sister came to China for sightseeing. This was my first time to visit the country with a very long history. So everything was new and fresh to me there, and my family bought some traditional Chinese craftworks for memento. What amazed me most was that I found Chinese people also buy things online just like we do. And more interestingly, I bought a pair of clip-on sunglasses in China on Internet as well.

During the week-long tour in China, we visited some big cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an and Chongqing. And my last visit is Chongqing, which is well known in China as “Mountain City”, which is also called one of the “three stoves”, the other two being Nanjing in Jiangsu and Wuhan in Hubei, because of the hot weather in summer. It was hot and I could not stand it, so I decided to get a pair of sunglasses. However, in light that I was shortsighted and had to wear a pair of prescription eyeglasses, I had to buy clip on sunglasses. I came to some shops, but none met my needs. Then it occurred to me that I could purchase one on the Net, which is convenient. Surfing several websites I spotted one site, Aidai.com, which is pretty much like the website www.Firmoo.com I once used when I was at home. This Chinese website provides a variety of clip on sunglasses. I consulted the dealer about the delivery, and he said it would be reached to me within 1 day, for the company is located in Chongqing. So comparing the price, size and quality introductions I made an order.

Like others I also feared at first that I would be cheated, as in China there exist lots of “fake” products and frauds. But what happen later proved that my worry was groundless and unnecessary, the next morning I did receive the package. I opened it and found the glasses I had ordered a day ago, together with a letter of quality guarantee, which read the glasses can be replaced within 7 days if not satisfied. I was really pleased with it. At this moment I thought of the oft-quoted saying that, “Honesty is the best policy.” without which a company will be short of clients and customers, finally leading to its closedown.

My recent travel to China is indeed different and particular, for I saw and experienced a lot during my stay in the country. I will come back to China again some day.

An introduction to pink eye

Posted by sean - October 25th, 2009

Conjunctivitis has various symptoms such as pink eye, burning, stinging, irritation and pain, among which pink eye is the most obvious and common one. As a result, conjunctivitis is always called pink eye for short. Pink eye can occur in both the young and adults. Contagious pink eye spread through coughing, sneezing, communal settings etc… Frequent hand washing and disinfected spray are some of the common treatments. With timely treatment, most types of pink eye can be cured, while untreated persistent pink eye can lead to as serious as vision loss.

The eye’s pink appearance comes from the sclera’s inflammation, which triggers those conjunctival blood vessels to dilate. As mentioned before, pink eye is only one of the symptoms and different symptoms indicate different types of conjunctivitis, such as allergic conjunctivitis, bacteria conjunctivitis and viral conjunctivitis. Usually, itching, redness, tearing result from allergic conjunctivitis, while heavy discharge belongs to bacteria conjunctivitis and watering discharge results from viral conjunctivitis. Based on those different symptoms and their progression, your doctor can easily determine the type of conjunctivitis you have.

Pink eye occurs mostly in children, especially new born babies. Children always have much colds and respiratory tract infections, which spread the disease. For new born babies, there are even more risks of pink eyes. The contact with its mother may cause bacterial infections and the sexually transmitted disease on its mother can also bring infection to the children. For prior protection, silver nitrate and antibiotic ointment are always used to prevent any infection. Unfortunately, this treatment is ineffective for chlamydial conjunctivitis.

Pink eye can be caused by many other reasons. Improper handling of contact lenses may bring infection and pink eye is caused. Various underlying diseases with inflammation also contribute to pink eye, such as Blepharitis, dry eye, Lyme disease, Reiter’s syndrome and so on. Once these diseases are cured, pink eye will disappear on its own.

The treatment of pink eye is always in accordance with its cause. Bacterial conjunctivitis requires antibiotic eye ointment or drops, while allergic conjunctivitis should be treated with artificial tears to dilute irritating allergens. Viral conjunctivitis always clears up on its own without external intervention.

Contagious types of conjunctivitis are easy to spread through many channels, so that the prevention of the disease is essential. For viral and bacterial conjunctivitis prevention, contaminated hand towels, washcloths, pillowcases, eye drops and eye shadow should never be shared. People with these types of conjunctivitis should wash hands frequently and protect the unaffected eye.

Allergic conjunctivitis is not contagious, which is easier to avoid. People should keep away potential allergens such as airborne pollen, smoke, chemicals etc… Swimming goggles are effective to protect you from allergic conjunctivitis while you are swimming.

For contact lenses wearers, there are more things can be done to prevent pink eye. They should always clean and disinfect their lenses and replace lenses solution to avoid bacterial contamination. Extended wear lenses are more likely to bring infection, so that you should replace them periodically. Wearers can switch to another type of contact lenses if the current type causes pink eye.

Different soft contact lenses care solutions

Posted by sean - October 25th, 2009

Besides the wide selections of soft contacts themselves, their care is also an important aspect in order to prevent eye infections. The ever reported fungal eye infections is a clear warning against unhealthy contacts handling. You should always follow the guidance and steps while cleaning contacts, although the one-bottle care systems have made lens care much easier than before. And the basic requirement is that you should never switch care regimens between different soft lenses, which are not compatible.

In addition to regular contacts cleaning and rinsing, there are special products for further care. Daily protein removal is useful for infrequently replaced contacts, which provides further protein removal and maintains lenses’ comfort. Another product for protein cleaning weekly is enzymatic cleaner. You should clean and rinse your contacts before applying an enzymatic drop on each of them, and then leave them to dissolve for 15 minutes. After that, you may need other disinfecting products if necessary. Eyedrops can be used to lubricate your eyes and rewet your lenses. Some solutions contain preservatives that may cause problems at a high rate. For the small population who have eye sensitivity and allergies, cleaning products marked “preservative-free” are the right choice. If they use regular solutions, they may get symptoms such as itching, tearing, foreign body sensation, burning, redness and discharge. Actually, most of the preservative-free products have expiration dates after they are opened.

There are many kinds of products for cleaning, rinsing, and disinfecting. Saline solution is exclusively for lenses rinsing and storing, rather than cleaning and disinfecting. You can use daily cleaner on your palm to rub your lenses on both sides. Multipurpose solution integrates all functions of cleaning, rinsing, disinfecting and storing. They are very convenient and eliminate the need for separate bottles of different products. Hydrogel peroxide solution is also for those four functions, but it provides a basket for rinsing and a cup for cleaning and disinfecting. The more convenient solution may be cleaning or disinfecting devices. You should just fill in cleaning and disinfecting solutions, and then the device will do the job for you. But the rinsing work is still your responsibility.

There are mainly two types of contacts care products in brands: name-brand products and store-brand products, all of which have FDA approval. Store-brand solutions from pharmacy and grocer may be cheaper, but they have potential problems. Since lenses solutions should never be switched without a compatibility test, you should always go to your doctor for consultation. And because the store does not produce solutions themselves, the product you have bought last time may be not available now, which requires additional doctor visits for compatible issues. What’s more, some of the store-brand solutions may be made of older formulations and they may frequently change their formulations.

You should keep many things in mind during daily contact lenses care. Most importantly, never shift to other brands without a compatibility consultation. The solution bottle tips may be contaminated by any touch. Microorganisms in tap water may cause dangerous infections. You should follow instructions while caring your lenses. Rinse and dry your lenses case regularly and discard it once a month.
